With registrations opening this week for the 2017 Recreation Vehicle Aftermarket Association (RVAA) Executive Conference, President Susan Carpenter reports that member signups are moving at a rapid pace. The conference is scheduled for Aug. 14-18 in San Diego at the Rancho Bernardo Inn.
In the latest association newsletter Carpenter said, “Registration has been open for only a few days and so far, we have over 20 companies already signed up. I’m excited to see how that number grows in the weeks to come. We’re expecting another big turnout this summer.”
Conference registration closes on June 9. To sign up click here.
RVAA has also adding a new opportunity this year for suppliers, offering the option of purchasing semi-private meeting space, which provides more than the traditional hotel guest room offers. Twelve semi-private spaces are available, which include one round banquet table with pipe and drape, up to eight chairs and power outlet access.
Semi-private space is $135 per day. Space is limited and granted on a first come first served basis. If interested, contact Debbie Jennings.
The expected turnout for the convention is a reflection of a strong RV aftermarket. A recent survey conducted by RVAA showed members are reporting an increase in net income from aftermarket sales over the past year.
- Eight of out 10 respondents report net income/profitability from their RV aftermarket business has increased over the past 12 months.
- Among those respondents, 10% report substantial growth, 43% are experiencing moderate growth and 29% are seeing net income grow slightly.
- The majority of all respondents (75%) indicate their current inventory in relation to market conditions to be just right, with 20% stating their inventory as too low and 5% at too high.
