The Recreation Vehicle Dealers Association (RVDA) of Canada recently named Robert Rémillard of Centre du Camping Rémillard in St-Jean-sur-Richelieu, Quebec, as this year’s recipient of the Walter Paseska Canadian RV Dealer of the Year.
According to RVDA of Canada, the award “reflects the respect that an RV dealer has earned through years of enthusiasm and attention to the needs of his or her customers, the community at large, and the RVDA movement.”
Established in 1989 by Camping Canada Magazine, the award is dedicated to the memory of the late Walt Paseska, founder of Walt’s Trailer Sales in Headingley, Manitoba.
Rémillard began in the industry working part-time in his father’s company and eventually became president and owner in 1985. His contributions to the industry include the following:

  • At the inception of the provincial association, Rémillard was appointed as the representative for the province of Quebec on the “Working Board” of RVDA of Canada.
  • Rémillard served in various executive positions with the association, including president in 1991, and continuing as a director until October 2002.
  • Rémillard was instrumental in the success of the Montreal RV show and other association events.
