ReserveAmerica, the leading provider of online reservations for state and federal parks in North America, is now targeting private campgrounds through a strategic alliance with Niagara Falls, Ont.-based Mission Management Information Systems, Inc.
The alliance, announced last week, enables ReserveAmerica to offer online reservation services to more than 650 private campgrounds currently utilizing Mission Management’s Campground Manager software program to manage their front desk operations.
The companies also believe the alliance will strengthen Mission Management, since its clients will now have the ability to market their campsites through ReserveAmerica, a Ticketmaster affiliate currently processing more online campground reservations than any other service provider.
“We are excited to launch this new reservation service with ReserveAmerica,” said Peter Kearns, vice president of Mission Management. “ReserveAmerica processes more online reservations and has a larger reach of targeted campers than any other company in the industry, which provides tremendous exposure and value to RV parks and privately owned campgrounds.”
More than eight million campers use ReserveAmerica to process more than 3.5 million advance reservations for campsites and cabins across North America each year. Of that total, about six million campers go directly to ReserveAmerica.com to book their reservations, while the remaining two million are referred to the website through sites operated by ReserveAmerica’s state, federal and private campground partners, according to John McDonald, ReserveAmerica’s senior manager of marketing and communications.
Balston Spa, N.Y.-based ReserveAmerica provides online reservation services for the National Park Service, U.S.D.A.’s Forest Service, the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Boundary Waters Canoe Area Wilderness as well as state park systems in 14 states, including California, Colorado, Connecticut, Florida, Kentucky, Louisiana, Massachusetts, New York, Oregon, South Carolina, Texas, Utah, Virginia and Wisconsin.
