Class A motorhome manufacturer Rexhall Industries Inc. reports its third quarter earnings declined 60% and its sales revenue were down 39%.

The Lancaster, Calif.-based company earned $498,000 on sales of $12.6 million during the three months ended Sept. 30.

Sales were down due to the bankruptcy last spring of Rexhall’s largest dealer, the RV Supercenter group in Arizona, along with higher interest rates and fuel costs, said William J. Rex, president and CEO.

During the nine months ended Sept. 30, Rexhall’s earnings declined 52% to $1.8 million and its sales were down 24% to $48.4 million.
