Riverside Travel Trailer Inc. has just surpassed 3,500 likes on Facebook, marking an important milestone in the Peru, Ind.-based builder’s social media marketing intitiative.

“When a dealer thinks of trailers they think of the big name manufacturers,” said Mark Gerber vice president of sales and finance, in a press release. “When an end user thinks of trailers they think of floorplan and features. Our focus over the past several months has been to reach out to the camping public and present our products in a way that we can bring to the dealer a qualified purchaser who wants one of our trailers.”

Gerber said that Riverside’s website is geared toward educating the user on the company’s travel trailer line, adding “the facebook interaction adds real time discussions and sales presentations direct from the manufacturer helping to build a desire to purchase.”
