Web Site Management Inc., parent company of RV America On Line, has acquired the rights to Wheelers RV Resort & Campground Guide from Print Media Services Ltd., Elk Grove Village, Ill.
Phoenix, Ariz.-based RV America developed the on-line version of the popular 33-year-old guide in 2000 and has continued to manage the website at wheelersguides.com.
Gloria Telander, founder and president of Print Media Services, and a member of the RV Hall of Fame, was instrumental in starting all three national campground directories; Trailer Life, Woodall’s, and Wheelers RV Resort & Campground Guide.
Web Site Management Inc., founded by CEO Dan Holt and Don Magary, president, launched RV America On Line in 1995. The company also produces an on-line version of former trade publication RV News, which went out of print this year.
“RV America attracts some 8 million unique RV enthusiasts to our website and the RV sites of our customers, partners and sponsors, every year,” Magary stated, “and tens of thousands of those visitors are there to find a campsite and/or make reservations through Wheelers toll free reservation system for advertisers.”
Wheelers RV Resort & Campground Guide is available free of charge, offering comprehensive listings of RV resorts, parks and campgrounds – both private and government-owned – along with RV dealers and service firms throughout the United States, Canada and Mexico.
“Acquiring Wheelers Guide was a natural step for us,” Holt said. “When it was offered we jumped at the opportunity. One of the primary reasons RV America’s traffic continues to grow year after year is simply because RV enthusiasts can find virtually any information about the RV industry they are researching and Wheelers Guide is an important ingredient in that mix.”
