RV manufacturers Carriage Inc. and Forest River Inc. have agreed to help the town of Millersburg, Ind., by donating a combined total of $45,000 to help pay for waste-water treatment plant improvements, the Goshen News in Indiana reports.
Forest River, headquartered in nearby Elkhart, Ind., agreed to contribute $25,000, and Carriage of Millersburg agreed to donate $20,000, the newspaper reports.
Both companies have manufacturing operations in the town, which is about 15 miles southeast of Goshen.
“Forest River and Carriage have always been involved in helping their home community of Millersburg,” Town Council President Jim Winkler said. “They are great friends to our town.”
Millersburg officials also have allocated $50,000 in town money for the water-water plant improvements and will seek matching federal and state grants to increase the amount of available funds for the project.
