The company reported in a press release that upon completion, the dealership’s current locations will be closed and all operations will be consolidated into the Newcastle location. RV General Store currently employs 25 people but expects to add more positions at the Newcastle location as the business continues to grow.

Founded in 1982, the company is owned by Barry Bender and is managed by Darrin Abel and Brian Yarnell. The three formed a holding company called BAY Enterprises LLC earlier this year and purchased 19 1/2 acres with plans to develop the front 10 acres with a 6,000-square-foot service center and a 9,000-square-foot showroom. The finished property will then be leased by RV General Store. The remaining acreage will be used to facilitate the future growth of the dealership.

The company reported that the service center will be able to accommodate up to a dozen units simultaneously and there will also be a large retail parts & accessories department.

Pending potential weather delays, the dealer expects to complete the sales lot and service center by the end of February, 2015, and the showroom facility to open by early summer. RV General Store is planning to relocate all inventory to the new location and open for business when the service center is complete. A grand opening celebration is planned for the summer of 2015.

RV General Store sells new and used motorhomes, fifth-wheels, travel trailers and toy haulers and represents products manufactured by Thor Motor Coach, Forest River Inc., Keystone RV Co., Crossroads RV, and Dutchmen Manufacturing Inc. RV General Store is also the exclusive dealer in the state of Oklahoma for RV Warranty Forever.
