The RVDA Education Foundation Inc.’s RV Learning Center recently published a new learning guide outlining tasks and skills required by parts managers and other parts department employees.
The 792-page parts learning guide, developed by Ohio State University, includes nine sections with 34 chapters, including: selling parts and accessories, managing parts inventory, managing customer relations, performing administrative functions, marketing, managing human and financial resources, merchandising the store and professional development. Individual guides for each of the nine sections are also available
“This new guide can help dealers improve their parts department efficiency – addressing what Go RVing consumer satisfaction research says is a major issue for RV buyers,” said RVDA Education Foundation Chairman Rick Horsey of Parkview RV Center in Smyrna, Del.  “While this program can’t solve all the parts problems we face as dealers and parts professionals, it can help RV parts professionals be more productive and customer-friendly.”
The learning guide costs $399 for RVDA members and $559 for non-members.
