The Recreation Vehicle Dealers Association (RVDA) Education Foundation board of directors approved a plan and budget for RV Learning Center programs that will enable the facility to develop more education resources for dealership employees over the next year.
The decision was made during the foundation’s board meeting on June 11 in Arlington, Va., held in conjunction with RVIA Committee Week.
The Learning Center will launch an RV service manager testing and certification program and an updated program for RV service writers/service advisors. It will also begin development of sales manager and salesperson/sales associate testing and certification programs.
In addition, the Learning Center will continue testing and certification programs for parts specialists/clerks, as well as parts managers.
In other action, the RVDA Education Foundation board:
• Elected Bill Koster of RV service agreement provider Protective as its secretary/treasurer.
• Elected Jim Fogdall, Ace Fogdall Inc., Cedar Falls, Iowa, as chairman, and Ernie Friesen, All Seasons RV, Yuba City, Calif., as vice chairman of the RV Professional Certifying Commission. The commission will act as an independent body to govern all RV Learning Center testing and certification programs.
