Another feature about the RV lifestyle will be nationally broadcast Friday (June 27) on the CBS Early Show, which taped a segment during last week’s Great North American RV Rally in Louisville.
Barton Gilanelli & Associates, public relations agency for the Recreation Vehicle Industry Association (RVIA), arranged for the national TV network exposure.
A CBS News reporter toured several RV models on display and interviewed RVIA Board Member and Public Relations Committee Chairman B.J. Thompson.
In addition, the cameras followed a family on their RV vacation, including their overnight stay at a KOA campground in Louisville.
The CBS Early Show reaches about 3 million viewers and generally airs from 7 to 9 a.m. in most parts of the country.
The CBS segment is among several new national media hits resulting from RVIA’s ongoing “Summer for RV Escapes” public relations campaign. RVs also were featured on recent broadcasts of NBC Today, ABC Good Morning America and CNN and in national print stories for USA Today, Christian Science Monitor, Kiplinger’s Personal Finance and Better Homes & Gardens.
The RVIA staff believes the CBS Early Show feature will generate positive exposure that will benefit the entire RV industry.
