The Recreation Vehicle Industry Association (RVIA) and its public relations agency, Barton Gilanelli and Associates, have arranged three more network TV features, which will appear over the next few and weeks.
Here is the schedule:
• ABC’s Good Morning America will air another installment in its “Breakfast in Bed” series. This marks the third time celebrity chef Emeril Lagasse will use an RV to prepare and deliver a surprise breakfast to a worthy recipient. The Wednesday (Oct. 30) segment will air live from an undisclosed West Coast location. Good Morning America generally airs from 7 to 9 a.m. in most of the country. Check local listings for the broadcast time in your area.
• On Sunday (Nov. 3) CBS Sunday Morning will air an RV tailgating segment featuring correspondent Bill Geist and professional RV tailgater Joe Cahn. The piece chronicles Cahn’s RV journey as he travels the country in search of the best tailgate party. CBS Sunday Morning generally airs from 9 to 10:30 a.m. Check local listings.
• CBS Late Show with David Letterman will broadcast another RV segment. RVs have been a mainstay in the “Biff Henderson’s America” series. Keeping with this trend, the Letterman staff recently took an RV trip to Schoharie, NY. The segment is scheduled to air on Nov. 18. The Late Show generally airs from 11:30 p.m. to 12:30 a.m. Check local listings.
Breaking news could pre-empt the segments. Consequently, there’s never a guarantee until they air. However, the RVIA and Barton Gilanelli, both of which provided significant input for the three features, believe the positive exposure will benefit the entire RV industry.
