Several of the industry’s motorhome makers are holding pre-rallies this week as a prelude to the Family Motor Coach Association’s 74th International Convention in Minot, N.D., Aug. 15-18.
Among the array of manufactured-sponsored shows in North Dakota are the National RV Owners Club convention in Jamestown and the four-day Monaco International Club’s summer rally in Bismarck.
Local newspapers reported 300-plus National RV owners assembled for the rally while the Monaco Coach Corp. gathering drew around 350 motor coaches to the Bismarck Civic Center.
A full slate of workshops and entertainment are scheduled for both events.
In addition to mainstream manufacturers, the Converted Coach group, comprised of 500 bus conversion owners, was arriving in Minot this week in preparation for the FMCA convention.
The group’s membership features a wide array of vehicles, including a band tour bus from the 1960s, former passenger buses and new coaches costing upwards of $1 million.
The FMCA rally is expected to draw several thousand coaches to the North Dakota State Fairgrounds.
