Cygnus Business Media, parent of RV Trade Digest magazine, has been sold for $275 million.
The buyer is Weston, Conn.-based CommerceConnect Media, which has signed a letter of intent to purchase Cygnus. The deal is expected to close on or before June 14.
Based in Melville, N.Y., Fort Atkinson, Wis., and Burnsville, Minn., Cygnus is projected to have $96 million in revenues this year.
In addition to RV Trade Digest, Cygnus publishes 47 trade magazines, 17 custom publications, operates 60 Web sites and 16 trade shows and conferences.
CommerceConnect is a partnership that was formed last October by Paul Mackler and ABRY Partners LLC, a Boston-based private equity investment firm. Mackler is the CEO of CommerceConnect.
