A Goshen, Ind., RV transport company is looking to convert a former nursery off of U.S. 33 on the city’s south side into a new RV sales and repair facility, though the move is getting some significant pushback from nearby residents.
The Goshen News reported that the proposed change came during a meeting of the Elkhart County Plan Commission Thursday (Oct. 9) morning, where commission members heard a request by Outer Limits Enterprises LLC, represented by Brads-Ko Engineering and Surveying Inc., for a zone map change from Agriculture-1 to a Detailed Planned Unit Development Business-3 and DPUD Residential-1 to be known as Wave Express DPUD.
The property in question is the former McIntosh Greenhouse and Garden Center, a longtime fixture of the Goshen community that was sold last year when the former owners retired.
Since that time, the RV transport company Wave Express has purchased the property and has expressed interest in converting the property into a new RV sales and repair facility for towable RVs. The change would also reportedly include the addition of new office space for the Wave Express company.
