With Mindy Cox, designer for Allied Recreation Group’s American Coach division, gracing the cover, Editor Bruce Hampson took a look at the growing influence of interior designers in today’s marketplace as builders are increasingly focused on creating a homelike environment in RVs.
“At one point, you didn’t think about your camper as being a ‘home away from home,’” Jayco Inc. COO Jim Jacobs said in the in-depth article. “It was something you used for utilitarian purposes to go camping in. It was shelter to stay out of the weather. And it wasn’t the entertainment center it is today. Certainly the mindset has changed with the consumer – and getting more so, even down to the entry-level products. They are off the charts from a look and appeal standpoint.”
The issue also offers a “Special Distributor Section,” as well, with reports from the show floors at the Stag-Parkway and NTP Distribution trade events. RVB also travels to the Sunshine state with features on Lazydays RV and the battle among high-profile dealers in Tampa’s I-4 corridor.
Also look for the 2014 RV Industry Directory, available in digital or print versions. The annual guide again provides a comprehensive, at-a-glance reference for manufacturers, vehicle converters, distributors and wholesalers, RV associations, services, suppliers and product listings.
