The Recreation Vehicle Dealers Association (RVDA) and the Recreation Vehicle Industry Association (RVIA) have had their differences recently over dealer-manufacturer agreements and the writing of laws impacting the relationship between the two industry partners.
But today (Sept. 27), the two associations issued the following statement:
The recent meeting of the RVIA and RVDA executive committees on the issue of franchise and RV specific legislation was a very positive step. It was the start of a good process that encourages face to face participation among our associations’ leadership and we look forward to that continuing. The consensus coming out of this meeting is that both organizations will strive to understand each other’s needs and dilemmas and attempt to treat each other fairly.
