LAS VEGAS, Nev. – On a day mostly devoted to getting attendees safely to the site of the 2025 RV Dealers Convention/Expo, the RVDA Board of Delegates received a welcome visit from one of its valued partners in Congress.
U.S. Rep. Dina Titus, D-Nevada, arrived at Paris Las Vegas and was escorted into the gathering of representatives from each state who make up the board of the RV Dealers Association (RVDA).
Titus was honored for being a valuable ally and an important cog in passing the Travel Trailer Tax Parity Act in 2025.
The legislation, which Titus led in the House with Rep. Rudy Yakym, R-Indiana — and was championed in the Senate by Sens. Joni Ernst, R-Iowa, and Angus King, I-Maine — was included in the tax legislation signed by President Trump in July.
Critical to the RV industry, the bill included a fix that enables all RV dealers to fully deduct the interest on floor plan loans for non-motorized towable trailers, which account for 88% of all RV sales. This was a significant win on an issue the RV industry had been working on since the inadvertent error removed the floor plan deductibility for towable RVs in the 2017 Tax Cuts and Jobs
Following that, the evening featured several receptions hosted by various industry groups and businesses, including the Stanek-Haack Group at Morgan Stanley and CBIZ, Priority RV Network, RVDA of Canada, Bank of America and Huntington Bank.
The Convention/Expo gets going full steam this morning with a full slate of workshops. The Opening General Session is set for 2:30 p.m. with a keynote address from Ryan Estis.
The Expo floor opens at 3:30 p.m.
