The Recreation Vehicle Dealers Association of Canada is donating $13,800 to the Childhood Cancer Foundation – Candlelighters Canada, representing funds raised at its 2006 Canada Night Dinner during the National RV Trade Show in Louisville, Ky.
According to RVDA of Canada, over 350 RV industry personnel attended the Nov. 27 dinner event to help celebrate the 20th anniversary of RVDA of Canada.
Dealers and suppliers participated in blackjack and roulette games to generate donations and also earn chances to win raffle prizes.
“I am touched by the kind and generous spirit of all of those in attendance,” said RVDA of Canada President Wayne Hambly. “We have all been affected by this disease in one way or another and I am so proud of our industry members for stepping up to help children with cancer and their families fight the battle against this illness.”
The Childhood Cancer Foundation Canada is the only national Canadian charity that dedicates all of their resources and efforts to positively impact the lives of children with cancer and their families from coast to coast.
