The Recreation Vehicle Dealers Association (RVDA) of Canada announced that its www.rvcareers.ca website has undergone a series of changes and has been updated to make it more complete, showcasing everything related to RV careers in Canada.

According to a press release, the site now contains information for all users: employers; those that currently work in the RV industry; those new to the RV industry; and those looking to establish a career path in the RV industry.

Newly added event and news listing will also keep individuals up to date on training and industry events and the latest RVDA of Canada and industry news.

Of special note is the new job posting page. RVDA members now have full control of their job postings, adding, editing or removing their job posting. With a valid e-mail address, dealers also receive job applications via e-mail. This service is a member benefit of the RVDA and is free of charge for RVDA dealers in Canada.

Highlights of the new site:

  • All the information found under the “Education” tab is intended for people currently working in the industry. You will find technician programs (excluding apprenticeship training programs), parts/service management programs, sales, marketing & F&I programs, and administration/accounting programs.
  • Under the “Become an Apprentice” tab, benefits and pathways to apprenticeship including youth apprenticeship, pre-apprenticeship, formal apprenticeship and Red Seal program. There are many financial incentives for both apprentices and employers to participate in an apprenticeship as well as assistance from provincial and federal governments and your local RVDA.
  • For employers, RVDA of Canada has detailed the apprenticeship process and how to get started should they decide to implement a program. The process will help dealers understand the complexities of trying to find, navigate and understand the rules getting credentials recognized by different apprenticeship jurisdictions.
  • A French site is under construction, and RVDA of Canada will announce when it’s complete.

If dealers have any suggestions or comments about improvements for the site, e-mail c[email protected] or visit the RV Careers Facebook page.
