The Recreation Vehicle Dealers Association (RVDA) will honor six RV manufacturers with its Quality Circle Award during the National RV Trade Show in Louisville in December. The award is presented to the top performers in the association’s annual Dealer Satisfaction Index (DSI) survey.
Now in its ninth year, RV dealers use the DSI survey to rate manufacturers’ performance in four major categories: sales support; product competitiveness; service and warranty support; and management. Manufacturers with DSI ratings of 80 points or higher and who receive 15 or more dealer evaluations qualify for the Quality Circle Award.
Manufacturers receiving 2002 awards are, in alphabetical order: K-Z, Inc., Shipshewana, Ind.; Lance Camper Manufacturing Corp., Lancaster, Calif.; Newmar Corp., Nappanee, Ind.; SunLine Coach Co., Denver, Pa.; Tiffin Motor Homes Inc., Red Bay, Ala., and Winnebago Industries Inc., Forest City, Iowa. Fleetwood’s Coleman division qualified for a special Quality Circle Division Award. Home & Park Motorhomes qualified for Special Recognition for high score with fewer than 15 evaluations. The DSI report will be available at the National RV Trade Show and in the December issue of RV Executive Today. Manufacturers will receive individual reports in December.
“We all need to work together to serve our common customers, and the DSI is a tool to help foster better communications between dealers and manufacturers,” said RVDA Chairman of the Board Bruce Bentz of Capital RV Center, with locations in Bismarck and Minot, N.D. “The Quality Circle manufacturers are companies that dealers feel combine exceptional products with solid support to retailers.”
