FAIRFAX, Va. – Two industry veterans will help dealers understand the possibilities and challenges of running an RV rental business at the 2023 RV Dealers Convention/Expo during a meeting of the RV Rental Association (RVRA). The Convention/Expo will take place Nov. 6-10 at Paris Las Vegas.
From 9:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. on Nov. 7, Leslie Pujo and Scott Krenek will discuss “Legal Issues for RV Renters/Review of 2023 RVRA Survey/2024 Market Outlook.” Pujo will bring attendees up to date on recent court cases and pending legislation affecting RV rental company operators. RVRA Chairman Krenek will review results of the 2023 RV rental market survey and lead a discussion about the outlook for the rental market in 2024.
During the meeting, attendees will learn:
- How RV rental businesses will be impacted by recent “negligent entrustment” case decisions
- The latest on proposed federal legislation that could impose penalties on rental companies unable to fulfill a reservation — regardless of the reason
- RV rental market challenges and opportunities revealed by the RVRA survey
- The outlook for the RV rental market in 2024
Pujo is a partner with the Reston, Va.-based law firm Plave Koch PLC. Krenek is president of Krenek RV Center in Coloma, Mich.
The convention brings together North America’s top dealership personnel for a week of in-person networking and continuing education workshops designed for dealers/GMs, sales, fixed ops, F&I, and digital marketing professionals.
