Once again, a fictitious company is trying to scam individuals who register for the Recreation Vehicle Dealers Association’s (RVDA) convention into giving out their credit card information under the guise of making hotel room reservations at Bally’s and Paris.

As reported in RV Executive Today Online, the scammers have been phoning registrants with misinformation about the hotel booking process. RVDA’s room block is not full, and the company is notaffiliated with either RVDA or the hotels.

A convention exhibitor was recently called by a representative from an outfit called Exhibitors Housing Services, who informed him that he had been overcharged on his hotel room reservation and that he could make a new reservation at a lower price by giving out his credit card information.

The best way to register – and avoid scams – is by using this link. There are still rooms left in RVDA’s negotiated room block at Bally’s, but once they’re filled, the negotiated rate ends.
