Recreation Vehicle Industry Association (RVIA) members are preparing to convene March 4-9 in Palms Springs, Calif., for the association’s 2012 Annual Meeting at the Ranchos Las Palmas resort.

“RVIA’s annual meeting is an ideal venue for our members to become more involved in the association and to participate in the discussions addressing both industry challenges and individual concerns,” said RVIA President Richard Coon. “This year’s event will feature a combination of committee meetings, seminars, presentations and networking events that will provide information and ideas to help members plan for 2012 and beyond.”

A full schedule of informative meetings, educational seminars and festive social events is on tap for attendees. Highlighting the business portion of the annual meeting is the RV Manufacturer/Supplier Forum on March 7, featuring informational seminars from several speakers focusing on topical marketing, economic and political issues.

RVIA’s Annual Membership Meeting, taking place March 8, will offer comprehensive briefings on association activities from key officials, including RVIA Chairman Gregg Fore, RVIA Treasurer Derald Bontrager, RVIA President Richard Coon, Public Relations Committee Chairman B.J. Thompson and RVIA Vice President of Public Relations and Advertising James Ashurst. Keynote speaker Hans-Karl Sternberg, secretary general of the European Caravan Federation, will provide insight on the increasingly global nature of the RV industry and a look at the state of Europe’s RV market.
