The Recreation Vehicle Industry Association (RVIA) Board of Directors recently elected Claire Skinner, chairman, president and CEO of Coachmen Industries Inc., to be its chairman effective Tuesday (Oct. 1).
Meanwhile, the RVIA board, at its meeting in Williamsburg, Va., Sept. 14, filled two vacancies, with the appointment of Forrest Theobald, senior vice president, secretary and general counsel for Fleetwood Enterprises Inc., and Dick Parks, president of Newmar Corp.
Theobald, replaced Glenn Kummer, the long-time Fleetwood executive who recently resigned from the RVIA board. Kummer continues to serve as a nonexecutive member of Fleetwood’s Board of Directors.
Parks replaced Virgil Miller, Newmar’s chairman, who died this past summer.
If they choose, Theobald and Parks can become candidates for two-year terms at the RVIA board election in August 2003.
Skinner replaces Walt Bennett, senior vice president and CFO of Thor Industries Inc., who served as RVIA board chairman the last two years.
Customarily, the chairman of the RVIA board serves for two years.
