The Recreation Vehicle Industry Association (RVIA) announced several recent additions to the association staff in the Government Affairs, Standards and Education departments.

Jessica Skerritt (left) has been named as a director in the government affairs department where she will work on legislative issues impacting the RV industry. She has previously worked in governmental affairs positions for the Textile Rental Services Association and American Honda Motor Company. She also served as legislative counsel for Rep. Heather Wilson (R-N.M.) from 2005–2007 and as a staff member on the House Government Reform Committee from 2004–2005. She graduated from the University of Michigan with a bachelor’s in sports management and communications and from the University of Tennessee College of Law with a Juris Doctor degree.

Kyle VanTassel (right) has joined the association as a standards inspector. He has a strong technical and mechanical background having worked at Kalamazoo Fabricating and Eastern Shore Air Cooled and Underground. He holds degrees and certificates from Kalamazoo Valley Community College. He resides in Michigan and will visit manufacturing plants to assist RVIA members in complying with the association’s adopted safety standards.

Kevin Youngquist (left) has been hired as an in-field representative for the Technicians in Training (TnT) program. In this position he will promote industry technician training programs to RV dealerships and technicians in the Upper Midwest, including Minnesota, Wisconsin, Iowa, South Dakota, North Dakota and eastern Montana. Prior to joining RVIA, he worked in marketing communications positions with MTS Systems Corporation, UnitedHealth Group, Timely Expressions, and ThomasArts. He holds a bachelor’s degree from Brigham Young University – Idaho.
