The Recreation Vehicle Industry Association’s (RVIA) Government Affairs Department has scheduled a free workshop Sept. 30 in South Bend, Ind., to review California Air Resource Board (CARB) regulations relating to the formaldehyde emissions from wood products .
According to RVIA, the information will directly apply to wood product suppliers and industry legal counselors along with RV industry personnel in the areas of purchasing, standards, compliance engineering and design.
The workshop’s main speaker will be Lynn Baker, CARB’s air pollution specialist, who has been with the organization for 22 years. Most of his work has involved assisting two other departments within the California EPA to assess air quality concerns, impacts of agricultural pesticides and hazardous waste sites.
Along with his colleague Darrell Hawkins of the CARB Enforcement Division, Baker will answer questions following the presentation.
The workshop will run from 9 a.m. to noon at the Century Center in South Bend. For more information, contact Matt Wald, RVIA’s director of government affairs, at (703) 620-6003, ext. 313, or [email protected] To register for the free workshop, contact Clint Woods at ext. 318 or [email protected]
