The Recreation Vehicle Industry Association (RVIA) announced that Sharonne Lee has been promoted to senior director of education, overseeing RVIA’s RV technician training and certification initiatives.
Lee, who recently marked her 25th anniversary with the association, has also worked as director of information and director of education.
According to a report in RVIA Today Express, Lee assumed the daily management of RVIA’s education efforts last year and launched the Technicians in Training (TNT) pilot program to increase the awareness of and participation in industry technician training and certification programs by having field representatives visit RV dealerships to educate management and technicians about education opportunities. Based on the success of the pilot, the program is being rolled out nationally over the next several years.
Lee lives in Elkhart, Ind., and works out of RVIA’s regional office after relocating from the Reston, Va., headquarters location last year.
