The annual Outlook Breakfast at this year’s National RV Trade Show in Louisville, Ky., has changed venues, moving to the new South Wing Lobby C Mezzanine Ballroom of the Kentucky Exposition Center (KEC).
The event, which annually kicks off the show hosted by the Recreation Vehicle Industry Association (RVIA), will begin at 6:15 a.m. with breakfast. The program gets under way at 6:30 a.m., concluding just before the show floor opens at 9 a.m.
The Outlook Breakfast program will be hosted by RVIA Chairman of the Board Bruce Hertzke of Winnebago Industries Inc., Forest City, Iowa, and will also include remarks by RVIA’s President-elect, Richard Coon.
The program generally attracts more than 1,000 showgoers, according to RVIA.
Highlights for this year’s event include:

The TV commercials were produced by a director of international stature – Academy Award nominee Scott Hicks. The voice of the commercials is Tom Selleck, who will address the audience on video.
• An appearance by Baseball Hall of Famer Bob Gibson, who has owned seven motorhomes since the St. Louis Cardinals gave him one as a retirement gift in 1975. RVIA will honor Gibson with a Spirit of America Award.
• A goodbye message from retiring RVIA President Dave Humphreys, who is positive about the industry as he nears the end of a distinguished 36-year career.
• Go RVing’s Don Walter, Tom Stinnett and Gary LaBella reporting on the progress Go RVing has made over the past 10 years, with major announcements regarding where the new TV commercials will be shown and how dealers can maximize the leads.
• A presentation of RVIA’s PR successes of the past year despite high fuel prices, led by RVIA Vice President of Public Relations and Advertising Gary LaBella and RVIA Public Relations Committee Chairman B.J. Thompson. It will include a video of “Celebrity RVers” and the popular “RVTV” reel of news and entertainment highlights.
• Surprise guest appearances.
