Diving dogs, sports superstars, television celebrities, singers, media personalities and even a giant Ferris wheel will be part of the entertainment at the 63rd Annual California RV Show taking place Oct. 9-18.
As reported by RVIA Today Express, in addition to the host of attractions over 1,300 new RVs will cover the grounds at the Pomona Fairplex. Western Show Director Tom Gaither reported that the entire show was sold out by the mid-May early bird registration deadline, even with the addition of 100,000 square feet of exhibit space.
A new “Best of Show” area will greet attendees at the front entrance of the Fairplex to spotlight top models. Other new features include the Ferris wheel and the First Annual American Diving Dogs Championships (guests can enter their own dogs in the competition).
Returning for a second year is the Vintage Rally which showcases classic RVs and their owners who camp within the show, as well as discussions with RV historian David Woodworth.
Other attractions include:
• Superstar Appearances: A cast of celebrities, media personalities and sports greats will make appearances including baseball legend Steve Garvey (Oct. 10) and Rick Harrison from the History Channel’s Pawn Stars (Oct. 17).
• Musical Performances: Jazz singer Annette DiNardo and The Sea Hunters will add live music to the mix in the Vintage RV area with performances Oct. 10 and both Sundays.
• Daily Seminars: Nearly 65 entertaining and informative seminars covering topics from “Shopping for an RV” to “Camping in National Parks” and “RV Care and Maintenance” will take place during the show’s 10-day run. Expert speakers include Dave Solberg, “The RV Handyman,” and John Holod of Travel Adventures.
