The motorhome sector’s downturn has not impacted the demand for exhibit space at the RV industry’s national trade show in Louisville Nov. 28-30.

Exhibit space is sold-out and there are 28 companies on a waiting list, said Mary “Mike” Hutya, vice president-meetings for the Recreation Vehicle Industry Association, sponsor of the show.

A record 720,000-square-feet of exhibit is available this year because some exhibitors will use the second floor of the Freedom Hall sports arena, Hutya said.

Ninety-five RV manufacturers and over 300 supplier firms have rented space for the show, which is the 13th largest trade show in the country.

More than 10,000 people, mostly representatives of RV manufacturers, suppliers, retail dealers, lending institutions and other professionals involved in the industry are expected to attend the show.

The Louisville show is not open to retail buyers.
