WASHINGTON D.C. — With two days of committee meetings followed by Advocacy Day, the 2026 RVs Move America Week, hosted by the RV Industry Association (RVIA), is officially underway at the MayFlower Hotel Autograph Collection in Washington D.C.

In his welcome letter, RVIA President & CEO Craig Kirby called the week a “cornerstone event” for the industry.
“It’s our opportunity to unite as one voice, highlight the strength and economic impact of our industry, advocate for policies that support outdoor recreation, and collaborate on strategies that will shape our future,” Kirby said. “This week is about coming together as peers to exchange ideas, strengthen our advocacy, and move our industry forward with clarity and purpose.”
The annual event begins with two days of RVIA committee meetings, in which volunteers from across the RV industry collectively work to build a strategic roadmap to help define future growth of the $140 billion RV industry, according to the RVIA. In addition to committee meetings, participants will gain insight on the state of the RV industry from association leaders and on the policies of the administration from political speakers.
Following the first two days, the week segues into Advocacy Day, in which participants will meet members of Congress to advance the greater good of the industry.
“This year, our message on Capitol Hill is grounded in both impact and stability. New economic data reinforces the significant role our industry plays in the American economy, supporting hundreds of thousands of jobs and generating meaningful economic activity in communities across the country,” Kirby said. “At the same time, we are focused on advancing policies that provide certainty, including stability around tariffs and the reauthorization of the Legacy Restoration Fund to ensure our public lands nd campgrounds continue to meet the needs of today’s RVers.”
Today’s agenda includes the following committee meetings:
- Standards Steering Committee
- RV Aftermarket Committee
- Go RVing Board Meeting and Go RVing Coalition Meeting
- Market Information Committee
- Park Model RV Committee
- Government Affairs Committee
- Financial Services Committee
- Public Relations Committee

In addition, the keynote speaker during today’s luncheon will be Robert Costa, one of the nation’s most acclaimed journalists and is known for his nonpartisan, in-depth reporting and analysis across television and print. A national correspondent for “CBS News Sunday Morning” and chief Washington analyst for CBS News, Costa’s work at “Sunday Morning” includes coverage of national politics, in-depth interviews with newsmakers, and features on culture, literature, and the arts. As chief Washington analyst for CBS News, Costa offers reporting and analysis to many CBS News programs.
Costa was named a national correspondent for “Sunday Morning” in February 2025 following three years of contributions to the broadcast, such as an exclusive sit-down in the White House residence with President Joe Biden in August 2024. It was Biden’s first interview since he announced his decision to not seek reelection. Costa and colleagues at “Sunday Morning” won an Emmy Award in 2023 for “Outstanding Recorded News Program.”
Costa previously served as chief election and campaign correspondent for CBS News, where he was the network’s lead political reporter during the 2022 midterm elections and the 2024 presidential campaign. He has also been a guest anchor on the CBS Television Network for programs such as “CBS Evening News,” “CBS Weekend News” and “Face the Nation.”
Prior to joining CBS News, Costa was a longtime national political reporter at The Washington Post. During his time at the newspaper, Costa served as the moderator and managing editor of “Washington Week” on PBS and was a political analyst for NBC News and MSNBC. In 2021, he and Bob Woodward published Peril, a No. 1 New York Times bestseller. He has interviewed President Trump dozens of times over the course of nearly two decades of coverage, going back to their first interview in 2011, and his work chronicling Trump’s rise to power led Politico to call Costa “the Trump whisperer.”
Costa holds a bachelor’s degree with honors from the University of Notre Dame, where he is a former trustee, and a master’s degree in politics from the University of Cambridge. Since 2022, Costa has served as a scholar at the University of Virginia’s Center for Politics.
