The Recreation Vehicle Industry Association’s (RVIA) four technical subcommittees – Heating, Electrical, Plumbing and Fire & Life Safety – met the week of Oct. 6 in Fort Myers, Fla., to address a number of RV standards-related topics.
RVIA Today Express reported that the subcommittees began work on the 2017 version of applicable standards by reviewing proposed changes to the NFPA 1192, ANSI LV, and NEC codes. In addition, the groups also reviewed handbook updates based on the 2014 editions of standards along with an array of other technical issues that have surfaced since their meeting in October of last year.
All action taken by the technical subcommittees will be reviewed by RVIA’s Standards Steering Committee.
