The Recreation Vehicle Indiana Council (RVIC) is hosting a meeting July 28 for RV retailers and manufacturers to examine the effects of changes in the state’s sales tax to out-of-state buyers.
Prior to July 2004, out-of-state buyers were exempt from sales tax in Indiana. Legislators eliminated the exemption before amending the law in May to assess buyers with sales tax equivalent to their home states.
State Rep. Jackie Wolarski and RVIC will host the luncheon meeting, slated for 11:30 a.m. at the Amish Acres restaurant in Nappanee.
According to RVIC, area representatives and senators have been invited to attend the meeting. For more information contact RVIC.
