The Valley RV & Camping Show, hosted by the Recreation Vehicle Indiana Council (RVIC),  opened today (Jan. 12) and runs through Sunday at the Century Center in South Bend, Ind.

“This show is a great place for buyers to compare features, floorplans and RV types from a wide variety of manufacturers,” said show promoter Matt Rose. “With so many dealers all in one place, it’s also a great place for buyers to negotiate their best price. Many of these RVs are priced at 20% to 25% below MSRP.”

Like previous years, the show features a full range of recreation vehicles, including motorhomes, fifth-wheels, toy haulers and travel trailers. But this year consumers will notice the variety of lighter, less expensive towable RVs.

“RV manufacturers have concentrated on using lighter weight, less expensive and recycled materials in the last year,” Rose said. “This translates into a vehicle that is more durable and costs less to purchase and tow than previous models. We also have RVs weighing more than 20,000 pounds and costing upwards of $250,000 while the lightweight RVs cost less than $100 per month.”

Additionally, booth vendors are on hand offering RV accessories and camping information. RV manufacturer’s representatives will also be present throughout the show and banks are offering special financing packages.
