This week’s episode of RVing in New England will focus on the new Escapees Hangouts program during an interview with David and Cheryl Goldstein, who will direct the new venture.
The Goldsteins are planning events for Escapees members in New England this summer. Escapees created Hangouts to provide more opportunities for members to make new friends and share fun, active and adventurous experiences together, said Bob Zagami, the host of RVing in New England.
Hangouts is a national program of the Escapees RV Club that was founded by Kay and Joe Peterson in 1978 to create and nurture a community of RVers of all ages and with all types of RVs, added co-host John DiPietro, of RV Insights.
The first five- to 10-day RV rallies will take place June 17-24 in New Hampshire and Aug. 12 to 19 in Maine.
The Goldsteins sold their house and most of their belongings and hit the road as full-time RVers in June 2016.
Living in their 40-foot fifth wheel, they have traveled throughout Alaska and western Canada as well as the western, Midwest and southeastern United States.
They are Escapees Lifetime Members, and organized and hosted three rallies for the club as volunteers before joining the club’s national staff as Hangouts directors earlier this year.
