According to a press release, the direct mail promotion included free food, a free gift and a chance to win the $5,000 cash grand prize or one of 10 $500 cash prizes. Last week, RVM Promotions reported a record 15 cash winners over a recent 18-month period.

“Pete’s RV is nationally recognized and has been on the leading edge of Internet advertising for several years and yet recognizes and continues to successfully use direct mail for their lot promotions. This is the eighth consecutive year I’ve enjoyed working with Pete’s on this promotion,” said Randy Adams of RVM Promotions.

According to Adams, dealers that mail in the first two months of the year experience maximum residual benefit by having their advertising piece in the homes of prospects before the spring buying season.

“Our most successful clients understand this benefit and mail in either January or February and then follow up a couple of months later with their annual spring promotion,” he said. “It is not uncommon for dealers to tell us in March or April that they sold a unit to somebody who walked in and said they had held on to the mailer they had received two to three months earlier.”
