RVOne Superstores announced the promotion of Chief Information Officer Howard LaVine to COO, effective Jan. 1. LaVine will oversee the company’s aftermarket customer service operations as well as its parts, accessories, warranty processing and information technology divisions.
According to a press release, the move coincides with strong growth for the dealership, which has seen 17 straight years of revenue gains while reaching $400 million annually in sales and over 8,000 RVs delivered so far this year.
“The company has four new and/or upgraded facilities coming online in 2018 including mega expansions in both Tampa, Fla., and Des Moines, Iowa,” said President and CEO Don Strollo. “The Tampa location alone is expected to double volume to over $250 million a year in sales in that one store alone.
“We’ve successfully operated above average size locations for some time which requires significant commitment to after market service. The appointment of Howard LaVine will allow that side of our business to keep pace with the rapidly growing retail rolling stock sales activities of the organization.”
In July, the company surpassed an internal milestone of 1,000 units sales in one month. “We plan to be over 10,000 units sales annually in 2018 generating $500 million in revenue next year,” Strollo said.
“We believe that we are uniquely positioned for success because we have major size regionally diverse locations coupled with a very effective off site show and on line sales division. We can reach any customer within 250 miles of any of our locations by offering a massive selection of over 2,000 units in stock and same day delivery. With that type of Sales volume we felt it was important to equally invest into our Service and Operations functions giving us even further fuel for growth in coming years.”
