Visitors to the 37th annual La Crosse, Wis., Boat, Sports, Travel, RV and Hunting Show can snap photos next to a variety of animals not often found indoors, including two bear yearlings and a trio of 3-week-old cubs, the Lacrosse Tribune reported.
The show opened Thursday (Feb. 6) and runs through Sunday, filling the Center with watercraft, RVs and critters.
“It really, honestly is a place that you can come and make your travel plans for 2014,” floor manager Ron Murphy said.
About 20,000 people attend the show every year to tour the numerous areas in the South Hall, Arena and North Hall. About 70 RVs and more than 80 boats are on display.
Booths will have travel information available from almost every state, Murphy said. Murphy is the president and CEO of Shamrock Productions Inc., a tradeshow production company managing a similar event in Duluth, Minn., next week and upcoming shows in Arrowhead and St. Paul, Minn.
“It’s a chance for people to come in and buy a boat if they want to, to see the most innovative products that are out,” Murphy said. “There are so many boats and RVs in here that it isn’t funny.”
