RVSales.com and Protective Insurance have signed a three-year agreement, enabling RVSales.com to offer consumers a 90-day/3,000 mile service agreement for privately sold RVs. 
According to a press release, the program will be part of a package of services offered by RVSales.com called “Inspected & Protected.” 
The service agreement provides a multi-point inspection for consumers selling their rigs through RVSales.com’s network of websites, performed by participating dealers and inspection centers.  
“Those dealers are seeking ways to bring privately sold RVs into their dealerships for inspections, to provide needed services, and to sell service contracts,” said Bill Koster, vice president of Protective’s recreational vehicle and specialty products group. “The association with RVSales.com will help bolster that customer-dealer relationship while building the confidence level of private RV sellers and buyers.”
After passing the inspection, RVs carrying the “Inspected & Protected” seal will automatically receive Protective’s 90-day mechanical breakdown protection upon sale of the vehicle. The 90-day/3,000 mile service agreement is based on Protective’s XtraRide service agreement product endorsed by the Recreation Vehicle Dealers Association (RVDA).
As part of the “Inspected & Protected” package, RVSales.com dealers also will also offer an optional extended service contract.
