The Recreation Vehicle Safety & Education Foundation (RVSEF) has scheduled the RV Lifestyle, Education & Safety Conference in Bowling Green, Ky., in June of 2010.
The conference is a unique educational opportunity for current and potential RV owners to learn about all aspects of RVing, according to a press release. Classes will include subject matter on the RV lifestyle, safety, technical issues and on extended time RVing on the road.
“There is also a plan to hold a mini maintenance course for those RVers who want to become more comfortable with the operations of their RV’s as well as learn some hands on maintenance.,” said RVSET Executive Director Walter C. Cannon. “Hands-on driving will also be available. This conference will allow consumers to learn about the RV lifestyle, to learn how to select the right RV for them, understand operation and maintenance of different components of their rigs, provide an opportunity to complete the RVSEF Driver Safety Program and receive a certificate of completion for a possible insurance discount.”
In addition, he added, participants will be able to develop camaraderie with fellow RVers all in an academic atmosphere.
“RVSEF would like to honor the late Gaylord Maxwell, founder of the Life on Wheels program, by continuing the excellent program he started,” Cannon added. “RVSEF supported Life on Wheels and it is our belief that this type of program is needed and wanted by RV consumers. Therefore, we are committed to putting together our RV Lifestyle, Education & Safety Conference similar to that of Life on Wheels. We hope everyone agrees and that many will participate.”
Cannon urged those interested in the program, space for which is limited, to check the website www.rvsafety.com or call 321-453-7673 for conference dates and additional information.
