RVtoday collected three awards during the 2006 National Telly Awards, including a first-ever Silver Telly for a segment featuring Yosemite National Park.
The cable TV program, which airs on the Outdoor Life Network (OLN) and focuses on the RVing lifestyle, also won two Bronze Tellys for shows profiling San Francisco and Hollywood. RVtoday has now won 13 Telly Awards during the past four years.
According to a press release, the Telly Awards annually showcase the best work of advertising agencies, production companies, television networks, cable operators and corporate video departments. The RVtoday programs won in the “TV information show” category, competing against shows and productions from high-profile companies including HBO, Paramount, ESPN and The Travel Channel.
“The award of the Silver Telly is particularly significant this year,” said Stew Oleson, host and producer of RVtoday. “This is the highest honor in the Telly Awards, and is a tribute to the standards we set in the field and in the editing room when we are putting the show together.”
The show is produced in-house by Affinity Group Inc. (AGI) in Ventura, Calif., and is now in its sixth year of production. AGI is parent to RV Business and RVBUSINESS.com.
