rvtv_logo_header_bar2After broadcasting for five years on the Outdoor Channel, RVTV has announced that it is moving to the VERSUS Network. The first program on the new network will air Thursday, July 30, at 8:30 a.m. EST.logo_versus

“Needless to say we’re very excited about this opportunity. It elevates RVTV into a totally different league,” said Rob Engman, executive producer and host of the show, in a press release. “VERSUS more than triples the number of households we were able to reach with the Outdoor Channel. Through sheer numbers and almost universal availability, there’s no doubt we’ll greatly increase the audience we’ve enjoyed for the last five years.”

According to information posted at www.myrvtv.com, the Outdoor Channel elected not to renew RVTV for 2009, opting instead to focus more on the network’s core programming of hunting and fishing telecasts. During its run on the channel, RVTV earned six Telly Awards, which recognize top programs in local, regional and cable television.

Originating in Toronto, Canada, by RVTV Productions Inc., RVTV is the only regularly produced RV show broadcast on television.

The VERSUS Network, formerly the Outdoor Life Network, is a wholly owned company of the COMCAST Corp. and is distributed via cable companies and satellite operators throughout the country. Approximately 83% of all homes in the United States that have either cable or satellite service presently subscribe to VERSUS. In addition to airing on cable, RVTV will be available on both the Dish Network and DirecTV. Episodes of RVTV will air twice a week.
