Today’s spotlight is on Heather Leach, executive director at the Pennsylvania RV and Camping Association (PRVCA), the host organization of “America’s Largest RV Show” in Hershey, Pa. Leach also serves on the RVWA Marketing Committee.

RVB: Tell us a little bit about your job.

Leach: Residential Warranty Corp. and AAMCO.

RVB: What was your first paid job?

Leach: McDonalds.

RVB: What do you like best about the RV industry?

Leach: The people!

RVB: The one thing the industry needs to work on is…

Leach: Open communication among all segments. I’ve seen a lot of movement on this in recent years and I think the benefits from working together is exactly what the industry needs to continue to grow.

RVB: The most influential person in my career has been…

Leach: Rebecca Lenington. I realize now that she was training me for this position even when I didn’t realize it.

RVB: The one thing people might be surprised to know about me is…

I come from (and still reside) in a very small town. Deer make great neighbors.

RVB: As a member of RVWA, I hope to…

Leach: Encourage other women and provide a mentorship program beneficial to those who are both new and experienced in the industry.
