Company founders David Clapper and Eric De Steeg on Monday (Feb. 20) announced the upcoming launch of Scamper Van – Camper Van Rental, saying the “revolutionary new service will bring everything that people need to camp right to their front door.”
According to the company announcement, the Scamper Van service delivers camper vans that are fully stocked with the supplies needed to get through just about any adventure with ease.
“Scamper Van takes the stress and confusion out of camping,” the release stated, adding that renters will enjoy an easy-to-drive Nissan cargo van fully customized into a state-of-the-art camper.
“A concierge service brings the van to your home so all you have to worry about is deciding what adventure you’ll be embarking upon.”
Up to four people can comfortably sleep in the van, and every vehicle has a sink, refrigerator, dining table, and hot water. A 7-foot awning will provide a perfect space to cool off on a sunny day. Campers will be able to enjoy some of the same comforts of home while still enjoying an experience in nature.
Campers will be able to choose their experience by taking advantage of the gear that Scamper Van has to offer; it’s as simple as selecting the experience when ordering the van. With stand up paddle boards, kayaks, and mountain bikes available for rental, this service will help campers make the most out of their adventure. If cooking is an issue, the team will come up with a menu and stock the van with groceries before delivery.
To help raise money to purchase the next two vehicles, and so Clapper and De Steeg can meet their goal of bringing the new service to the public in the spring of 2017, they recently launched a fundraiser on Indiegogo. There, they hope to raise $75,000 through crowdfunding.
