As yet another positive sign the RV industry is experiencing growth, the Seattle RV Show, produced by the Manufactured Housing & RV Show Association (MHRV), reported record-breaking crowds during the Feb. 9-12 at the Century Link Field Event Center.
According to a press release, attendance increased 12.9% over last year’s numbers with close to 18,000 people coming through the doors. Saturday’s attendance alone was 23.91% larger than the same day last year.
Over 400 different RVs were on display, presented by 21 different RV dealers, and many RV manufacturers sent representatives to assist the dealers. In addition, the event featured a full roster of free seminars, including RV technical, lifestyle and safety topics along with numerous activities designed for children.
Show Director Dave Helgeson noted, “The majority of those surveyed were attending their very first RV show. The attendees I spoke with liked the fact that the show offered so much more than just hundreds of RVs to scrutinize. They were eager to learn and took advantage of the multiple seminars and other educational activities. RV sales were brisk as evidenced by the sold signs posted on RVs throughout the show.”
In addition to the Seattle RV Show, the MHRV Association also produces the Puyallup RV Show in May. For information regarding all MHRV Show Association events, please visit: www.mhrvshows.com.
