The United States Senate unanimously approved S. Res. 239, designating June as Great Outdoors Month. The move follows President Donald Trump’s signing a proclamation on June 1 in support of annual Great Outdoors Month.

The Senate resolution action was led once again by U.S. Sen. Steve Daines of Montana, who led parallel efforts in 2017 and 2018. The full list of senators leading this effort, literally spanning the nation from Maine to Hawaii and appropriately bipartisan includes:

Steve Daines (R-Mont.), Gary Peters (D-Mich.), Cory Gardner (R-Colo.), Jeanne Shaheen (D-N.H.), Jim Risch (R-Idaho), Mazie Hirono (D-Hawaii), Kevin Cramer (R-N.D.), Amy Klobuchar (D-Minn.), Michael Crapo (R-Idaho),
Martin Heinrich (D-N.M.), John Hoeven (R-N.D.), Angus King (I-Maine), Joni Ernst (R-Iowa).
