Workers spent much of Monday (May 11) scraping up burned wood, charred aluminum and black ash at Seven O’s RV Way on Brewerton Road in Cicero, N.Y.
A fire broke out at the family-owned business around 5:30 Saturday evening. According to WSYR TV, no one was injured, but the fire seriously damaged the service building which holds tractors, tools, and other repair equipment.
“There’s going to be a little bit of challenge with certain things, but we should be able to work through it,” says co-owner, Paul Oot.
The company is using another business location in Madison County while they continue cleaning up, but officials insist they will keep the Brewerton Road location open during the process.
An insurance adjustor was scheduled to come out to the business on Monday to assess the damage.
Owners have no idea how much it will cost to get the service building re-opened.
“We expect our insurance to cover it,” Oot says. “Our shop is gone so that’s the bad side. The up side is that we’re definitely rebuilding it, and we’ll have a better shop when we’re done.”
The Cicero fire chief does not suspect foul play at this point, but says the investigation is ongoing.
