Silver Crown LLC, White Pigeon, Mich., has introduced the luxury Elite “Super Class C” motorhome intended to compete with high-end Class A motorhomes. “This is our entry into the RV sector,” said Brian Krider, Midwest/West Coast regional sales manager for the subsidiary of truck and bus builder Supreme Corp., a maker of luxury Pony Xpress “Super C” toy haulers and high-towing capacity S-series minimotorhomes intended primarily for use by motorsport participants. “We are offering something to the RVers that is safer, more fuel efficient, and can be customized with up to five slideouts.” Silver Crown’s standard Elite comes with four 34- to 45-foot floorplans and up to three slideouts on the 36,000-pound GVWR Freightliner M-2 medium-duty, front-engine truck chassis equipped with a 330-hp Cummins ISC diesel engine. An upgraded 49,600-pound GVWR twin-axle layout is available with a 450-hp Mercedes-Benz diesel engine.
