Middlebury, Ind.–based Skyline Recreational Vehicles, a division of EverGreen Recreational Vehicles LLC, recently launched a program that provides immediate information to sales representatives that can be used during the selling process.
According to a press release, sales consultants can quickly and easily obtain model-specific information for customers during a walkthrough on the sales lot. Every Layton and Nomad trailer will have a QR code sticker on the exterior that links directly to a web page with product specific information. The only tool required to access the information is a QR reader application, many of which are free. If the customer is on the lot alone, they can access the information as well.
“This is a great selling tool for the sales rep on the lot,” commented General Sales Manager Mike Scheetz. “They can scan the code with their phone and provide information to the customer of that exact unit. While we do prepare our dealers with other training tools, this is an instantaneous way for dealers to give customers model specific information at the touch of a button.”
Sales reps, dealers and customers will find a plethora of information about each model after scanning the QR code. This information includes the floorplan, interior and exterior photos when available, model specifications, standards and optional features and most importantly the top interior and exterior features unique to that model.
“Our goal is to make selling simpler,” said Scheetz. “Everything is happening online now and apps are making that transition easier. We’ve taken this technology that is so prevalent in our daily lives and made it more useful for our dealers. Supplying training materials off the lot is great for building a solid foundation, but the QR program provides sales teams with greater access to information when and where they need it most.”
